How? By selling the reason fans go to watch games.
I am looking forward to the club's explanation of their purpose as I think it is now very unclear. It seems to be to stop someone else owning the club.
With Gold Coast folding there is a real opportunity to buy quality players. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be in the business model.

Is it just me John, or do you or others feel that the little bits of shit hitting the fan at the moment are just the leading edge of a foul torrent on its way?
Thanks Hamish
Actually I think it has already happened and what we are seeing now are the symptoms of dice that have been cast - probably from day 1 in the A-League.
The Australian live sporting market is very, very competitive with lots of vested interests. You can't allow your product to dip in quality of entertainment for a season without substantial and sustained consequences. It will not be a torrent it will be an increasingly empty stadium. Others can blame the fans if they want, the reality is that the Roar have not be serving a competitive product - and I don't mean what the football looks like - it is the behaviour of the club to its fans.
